At home in Acton
An often-overlooked part of London due to it being somewhat hidden between Ealing and Chiswick, Acton was once home to a thriving automotive industry that saw the area often being called ‘Motor Town.’ However, Acton today is much more residential and has seen a wave of regeneration sweep through with new homes and leisure facilities being built.
Desirable Property Types
Perhaps best known for being predominantly residential, Acton has a variety of properties down its scenic streets. Victorian and Edwardian terraced houses and flat conversions are particularly popular, while 1930’s mock Tudor cottages can also be found around the Hanger Hill Garden Estate.
Acton has a number of popular restaurants and pubs spread out across the neighbourhood, but Acton High Street and Churchfield Road are perhaps the best places to go for finding great dining experiences.
Despite being somewhat forgotten about when compared to its neighbours, Acton is still incredibly well connected to the rest of London. The stations of Acton Town, North Acton, East Acton and West Acton are all on the Underground, while Acton Central and Acton South are both on the Overground.
The area has a mix of students moving into the area due to the closeness of a number of Universities, and young professionals and families who move in as they make their way up the property ladder.
Nice to meet you
The Homyze Story
Whilst working on projects across London, Adam and Andrew were constantly asked by friends to refer a good plumber or carpenter. As property obsessives, Adam and Andrew were only too happy to help. They know what it is like to get your dream home. Or how annoying it can be if something is just not quite right.
When following up to make sure that they were happy with the work that had been done, Adam and Andrew realised that this was what the home services and construction industries were sorely lacking: quality customer service.
Quality tradespeople and excellent customer service were introduced and they got on fabulously. One thing led to another, and Homyze was born. We're really proud of what Homyze has done so far... she's growing up so fast but this is just the beginning. We know we will change the way in which people think about getting help with their home.
