At home in Bayswater
Found within the city of Westminster and the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, Bayswater is well known for being home to the highest concentration of hotels within London. While this high number of hotels alongside being within easy reach of Heathrow may be the reason for it’s the large number of tourists, the area still manages to attract its fair share of permanent residents.
Desirable Property Types
Generally a slightly cheaper option for property than its closest neighbours, Bayswater’s most desirable properties are generally apartments within white stucco, 4-5 story buildings originally built at the end of the 19th century. Today many of these properties share attractive garden squares, which only help to boost the area’s sense of community.
Situated just north of Hyde Park, those that call W2 their home are truly spoilt with having one of London’s most renowned green spaces so close by. Meanwhile Queensway and its bustling variety of restaurants, cafes and pubs make the area a lively hub for both tourists and locals.
Bayswater is relatively well served when it comes to transport with the stations of Bayswater and Queensway in the area, while Notting Hill Gate, Paddington and Lancaster Gate are all within reach. While for those travelling beyond London, Paddington Station provides excellent transport links to Heathrow Airport and a number of other major cities.
With its close proximity to Hyde Park, excellent schools and comfortable neighbourhood vibe, Bayswater attracts more than its fair share of young families with the spending power to live within zone 1. While with a majority of residents having lived within the area for 3-10 years, higher than the Westminster average, those that call Bayswater home often do so for the long term.
Nice to meet you
The Homyze Story
Whilst working on projects across London, Adam and Andrew were constantly asked by friends to refer a good plumber or carpenter. As property obsessives, Adam and Andrew were only too happy to help. They know what it is like to get your dream home. Or how annoying it can be if something is just not quite right.
When following up to make sure that they were happy with the work that had been done, Adam and Andrew realised that this was what the home services and construction industries were sorely lacking: quality customer service.
Quality tradespeople and excellent customer service were introduced and they got on fabulously. One thing led to another, and Homyze was born. We're really proud of what Homyze has done so far... she's growing up so fast but this is just the beginning. We know we will change the way in which people think about getting help with their home.
