At home in Clapton
Once home to the area known as the ‘murder mile,’ Clapton has been transformed over recent years with the redevelopment of the 2012 Olympics bringing in the Overground and plenty of students and young professionals with it.
Desirable Property Types
The majority of Clapton’s best properties are two and three storey Victorian builds that have often been transformed into flats. The area also boasts a number of Georgian properties as well as new developments, especially beside the river.
Clapton’s recent transformation has also seen an array of new bars, restaurants and cafes popping up around the area, especially down the Chatsworth Road that also holds a weekly market.
One of the key driving forces behind Clapton’s rejuvenation was the introduction of the stations of Clapton, Rectory Road and Hackney Down on the Overground. The area also has a number of bus routes that run through to London Bridge, Oxford Circus and Victoria which help keep the area so well connected.
Clapton attracts quite a varied mix of residents that includes creatives moving from Shoreditch in search of more space, families drawn in by the good schools and green spaces, and professionals after a simple commute into the offices of Central London.
Nice to meet you
The Homyze Story
Whilst working on projects across London, Adam and Andrew were constantly asked by friends to refer a good plumber or carpenter. As property obsessives, Adam and Andrew were only too happy to help. They know what it is like to get your dream home. Or how annoying it can be if something is just not quite right.
When following up to make sure that they were happy with the work that had been done, Adam and Andrew realised that this was what the home services and construction industries were sorely lacking: quality customer service.
Quality tradespeople and excellent customer service were introduced and they got on fabulously. One thing led to another, and Homyze was born. We're really proud of what Homyze has done so far... she's growing up so fast but this is just the beginning. We know we will change the way in which people think about getting help with their home.
