At home in Docklands
Once a thriving port, the Docklands are perhaps better now today as being the home of Canary Wharf and its many global financial business, as well as London City Airport.
Desirable Property Types
An area of disrepair until its redevelopment in the 1980’s, many of the Docklands desirable properties are luxury apartments converted from the old warehouses that once filled the area. Alongside these converted warehouses sit a number of recently developed flats as well as a few surviving Victorian terraces.
While the area may be better known for its office space, there are a number of shopping centres, which help prevent the area becoming completely soulless.
When it comes to transport links, the Docklands is incredibly well served with stations on the Underground, Overground and National Rail network that includes Canary Wharf, North Greenwich and Rotherhithe to mention a few. The Docklands is also served by the Thames Clipper boat service and the London City Airport which helps keep the area well connected with not only London, but across the rest of the country and world.
With over 53% of the areas properties being 2 bed flats, as well as being close to the offices of Canary Wharf, has helped the Docklands become an area popular with young professionals wanting to do away with the hassle of long commutes. However, the Isle of Dogs does have its fair shares of families who have been there since the busy days of the docks and continue to call the area home.
Nice to meet you
The Homyze Story
Whilst working on projects across London, Adam and Andrew were constantly asked by friends to refer a good plumber or carpenter. As property obsessives, Adam and Andrew were only too happy to help. They know what it is like to get your dream home. Or how annoying it can be if something is just not quite right.
When following up to make sure that they were happy with the work that had been done, Adam and Andrew realised that this was what the home services and construction industries were sorely lacking: quality customer service.
Quality tradespeople and excellent customer service were introduced and they got on fabulously. One thing led to another, and Homyze was born. We're really proud of what Homyze has done so far... she's growing up so fast but this is just the beginning. We know we will change the way in which people think about getting help with their home.
