Typical Hackney Wick jobs
At home in Hackney Wick
One of London’s more recently rejuvenated areas, Hackney Wick has seen sweeping growth throughout, mainly in part to the 2012 Olympics and the nearby stadium. The area is also one of London’s greenest and is home to the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, while Victoria Park and Hackney Marshes sit just outside Hackney Wicks border.
Desirable Property Types
While still largely industrial, Hackney Wick, much like its neighbours, has seen large-scale regeneration as a part of the 2012 Olympics legacy that has seen a wave of modern homes and apartments built. The area also boasts a number of warehouse conversions, one of the key reasons for the area’s strong artist community.
Perhaps more than anywhere else in London, Hackney Wick has benefited most from the 2012 Olympics as this once nondescript neighourhood is now buzzing with riverside bars and restaurants.
Incredibly well connected to the rest of London, the area is home to Hackney Wick Station, which serves the Overground, while a number of other stations including Stratford, Homerton and Pudding Mill Lane are all just outside the area.
With its busy nightlife, variety of art galleries and warehouse conversions, Hackney Wick tends to attract a largely young and creative demographic. However, many tend to move out of the area as they start looking to begin families, preferring the space and cheaper housing costs of nearby Leyton and Walthamstow.
Nice to meet you
The Homyze Story
Whilst working on projects across London, Adam and Andrew were constantly asked by friends to refer a good plumber or carpenter. As property obsessives, Adam and Andrew were only too happy to help. They know what it is like to get your dream home. Or how annoying it can be if something is just not quite right.
When following up to make sure that they were happy with the work that had been done, Adam and Andrew realised that this was what the home services and construction industries were sorely lacking: quality customer service.
Quality tradespeople and excellent customer service were introduced and they got on fabulously. One thing led to another, and Homyze was born. We're really proud of what Homyze has done so far... she's growing up so fast but this is just the beginning. We know we will change the way in which people think about getting help with their home.
