Typical Highgate jobs
At home in Highgate
Boasting spectacular views from its hilltop setting, the neighbourhood of Highgate is one of north London’s most popular neighbourhoods for tourists and residents alike. Though its not simply the views that helps Highgate bring in so many visitors, the area is also home to a large amount of blue plaques, while the well-known Highgate Cemetery is the final resting place for a number of historical figures.
Desirable Property Types
Highgate manages to show off the best of the best when it comes to property with plenty of large Victorian and Edwardian homes, but it’s the Georgian cottages in Highgate Village that are the most popular. The area also offers plenty of modern houses and apartments, while the Art Deco designed Cholmeley Lodge also has its fair share of admirers.
Offering plenty of independent boutiques, teashops and charming pubs, it’s easy to see why the high street is often called ‘the village’. The Archway Road is also home to a number of popular shops and restaurants as well as the odd high street store.
The Underground station of Highgate provides access to the Northern line, while a number of bus routes also pass through the area on their way to either central London or further north.
Due to the plentiful green spaces and its charming village-y feel, Highgate is primarily a family neighbourhood, with a mix of locals who have called the area home for generations and those looking to see their money go further than in nearby Hampstead.
Nice to meet you
The Homyze Story
Whilst working on projects across London, Adam and Andrew were constantly asked by friends to refer a good plumber or carpenter. As property obsessives, Adam and Andrew were only too happy to help. They know what it is like to get your dream home. Or how annoying it can be if something is just not quite right.
When following up to make sure that they were happy with the work that had been done, Adam and Andrew realised that this was what the home services and construction industries were sorely lacking: quality customer service.
Quality tradespeople and excellent customer service were introduced and they got on fabulously. One thing led to another, and Homyze was born. We're really proud of what Homyze has done so far... she's growing up so fast but this is just the beginning. We know we will change the way in which people think about getting help with their home.
