Typical Holloway jobs
At home in Holloway
Generally a cheaper option for those without the budget to buy in nearby Islington, Holloway is an area brimming with life and is one of the more densely populated neighbourhoods of London. The area has also seen recent large-scale change with the closure of one of Europe’s largest female only prisons, HM Prison Holloway.
Desirable Property Types
Holloway’s most desirable properties are commonly large 3-4 story Victorian homes, which have since been turned into flats. However, the area does have its fair share of social housing estates, and with the recent closure of Holloway Prison, land has become available which is currently earmarked for a large-scale new housing development.
When it comes to amenities, Holloway is well served with a range of shops, bars and restaurants along the main Holloway Road as well as scattered around the rest of the neighbourhood.
Much like its neighbours of Islington and Hampstead, Holloway is well connected with the Underground stations of Archway, Holloway Road and Caledonian Road alongside Upper Holloway on the National Rail network. The area is also well served by buses and there are a number of stations dotted around just outside Holloway’s limits.
Holloway’s demographic is incredibly diverse, attracting a mix of young and single professionals alongside families who are priced out of the area’s more expensive neighbours. Meanwhile, being home to the London Metropolitan University, the area attracts students with the spending power to live within Holloway.
Nice to meet you
The Homyze Story
Whilst working on projects across London, Adam and Andrew were constantly asked by friends to refer a good plumber or carpenter. As property obsessives, Adam and Andrew were only too happy to help. They know what it is like to get your dream home. Or how annoying it can be if something is just not quite right.
When following up to make sure that they were happy with the work that had been done, Adam and Andrew realised that this was what the home services and construction industries were sorely lacking: quality customer service.
Quality tradespeople and excellent customer service were introduced and they got on fabulously. One thing led to another, and Homyze was born. We're really proud of what Homyze has done so far... she's growing up so fast but this is just the beginning. We know we will change the way in which people think about getting help with their home.
