At home in Kensington
Up there as one of the London’s most desired neighbourhoods, Kensington is home to stunning architecture and some of the capital’s wealthiest residents. The area also boasts a number of great green spaces in Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, while South Kensington’s array of museums also means there’s plenty for the culturally inclined.
Desirable Property Types
There’s a varied mix of properties in Kensington with everything from Edwardian mansion blocks to new, high-end developments regularly appearing on the market.
Kensington’s bustling High Street is home to a number of incredible bars and restaurants, as well as cafes that attract more than their fair share of laptop squatters. The area is also home to all manner of shops, from big brands to smaller independent boutiques.
Travel in and out of Kensington is fairly easy with Kensington High Street, Notting Hill Gate and Gloucester Road all on the Underground and Kensington Olympia on the Overground all serving the area. A number of bus routes pass through the main roads, however certain areas of Kensington do lack such travel options, making it feel slightly quieter compared to other parts of London.
Kensington generally tends to attract professionals working in a variety of sectors that includes everything from fashion to banking and who are all looking for desirable properties. There are also a large number of families moving up the property ladder that come over from Notting Hill to take advantage of the area’s great schools and space.
Nice to meet you
The Homyze Story
Whilst working on projects across London, Adam and Andrew were constantly asked by friends to refer a good plumber or carpenter. As property obsessives, Adam and Andrew were only too happy to help. They know what it is like to get your dream home. Or how annoying it can be if something is just not quite right.
When following up to make sure that they were happy with the work that had been done, Adam and Andrew realised that this was what the home services and construction industries were sorely lacking: quality customer service.
Quality tradespeople and excellent customer service were introduced and they got on fabulously. One thing led to another, and Homyze was born. We're really proud of what Homyze has done so far... she's growing up so fast but this is just the beginning. We know we will change the way in which people think about getting help with their home.
