At home in Kilburn
One of North West London’s cooler neighbourhoods, Kilburn finds itself
surrounded by the more up-market suburbs of Hampstead, Maida Vale and
Queen’s Park. The area is also known for being one of London’s most multi-cultural neighbourhoods and boasts the largest population of Irish residents compared to any other neighbourhood in the capital.
Desirable Property Types
When it comes to desirable property, Kilburn boasts a great mix of Victorian and Edwardian homes of which many have since been converted into flats. The neighbourhood also has its fair share of white stucco villas and detached early 20th century homes.
While Kilburn may lack a large, major supermarket, bustling Kilburn High Road provides an adequate alternative. It’s here where the neighbourhood has most of its shops, restaurants and bars, not to mention a majority of its rail stations.
Kilburn is blessed with stations, so getting in and out of the area is very rarely an issue. The stations of Willesden Green, Kilburn and Kilburn Park are all on the Underground, while Brondesbury, Brondesbury Park, Queen’s Park and Kilburn High Road are all a part of the National Rail network.
As one of North West London’s more affordable neighbourhoods, Kilburn
attracts a great deal of families looking for more space than what they would get for their money in neighbouring Maida Vale or Queen’s Park. The area also appeals to a number of young professionals who move in to take advantage of the excellent transport links, but who are not put off by Kilburn’s slightly rough around the edges image.
Nice to meet you
The Homyze Story
Whilst working on projects across London, Adam and Andrew were constantly asked by friends to refer a good plumber or carpenter. As property obsessives, Adam and Andrew were only too happy to help. They know what it is like to get your dream home. Or how annoying it can be if something is just not quite right.
When following up to make sure that they were happy with the work that had been done, Adam and Andrew realised that this was what the home services and construction industries were sorely lacking: quality customer service.
Quality tradespeople and excellent customer service were introduced and they got on fabulously. One thing led to another, and Homyze was born. We're really proud of what Homyze has done so far... she's growing up so fast but this is just the beginning. We know we will change the way in which people think about getting help with their home.
