Typical Mayfair jobs
At home in Mayfair
One of the world’s (let alone London’s) most expensive districts, Mayfair is an incredibly popular choice for those with the spending power to choose.
Found in the heart of London, this wealthy and busy area is also home to many embassies, which only helps to create a safer, more secure environment for the people of W1.
Desirable Property Types
With so many of Mayfair’s homes being turned into commercial properties, available accommodation is far from being readily available, and what space there is, is often at a premium. However, what you will find is that many of the area’s properties are large apartments built within a mix Georgian, Victorian and Edwardian terrace houses.
Based in central London and home to both Oxford Street and Regent Street, Mayfair has more than its fair share of notable amenities with a variety of 5-Star hotels, world-renowned shops, restaurants and parks all readily available on one’s doorstep.
If the availability of transport is an issue when it comes to deciding on an area, those pitching up in Mayfair will have little to worry about. The stations of Marble Arch, Bond Street, Oxford Circus, and Green Park are all within Mayfair, while both Piccadilly Circus and Hyde Park Corner are just outside the region’s limits.
Home to what many may class as the world’s ‘elite,’ 60% of Mayfair’s residents are originally born overseas. While with its central London location and its busy and bustling lifestyle, the area attracts a somewhat younger/middle aged demographic with the proportion of residents aged 25 to 44, standing at 42% according to the 2011 Census.
Nice to meet you
The Homyze Story
Whilst working on projects across London, Adam and Andrew were constantly asked by friends to refer a good plumber or carpenter. As property obsessives, Adam and Andrew were only too happy to help. They know what it is like to get your dream home. Or how annoying it can be if something is just not quite right.
When following up to make sure that they were happy with the work that had been done, Adam and Andrew realised that this was what the home services and construction industries were sorely lacking: quality customer service.
Quality tradespeople and excellent customer service were introduced and they got on fabulously. One thing led to another, and Homyze was born. We're really proud of what Homyze has done so far... she's growing up so fast but this is just the beginning. We know we will change the way in which people think about getting help with their home.
