At home in Tooting
Perhaps best known for its Lido, one of the largest in Europe, as well as its sprawling park, Tooting has seen plenty of growth in recent years with many new shops and restaurants popping up throughout the area.
Desirable Property Types
The majority of Tooting’s best properties are its Victorian and Edwardian terraces that stand alongside a number of 1920’s cottages and modern new builds. However, there are also a few early Georgian properties around Upper Tooting Road and a number of Arts and Crafts style homes on Nightingale Lane that are also highly sought-after.
A big part of Tooting’s recent growth is down to the array of new bars, boutiques and restaurants that have been springing up around the neighbourhood. Tooting is also well known for the large number of south Asian restaurants that call the area home, leading to its nickname of the ‘curry corridor’. Elsewhere, the popular Tooting Market and Broadway Market, that are both only a short distance apart, are open Monday to Saturday and draw in large crowds of locals.
Transport links are rarely a worry for Tooting’s residents with Tooting Broadway and Tooting Bec Underground stations both on the Northern Line, while Tooting station has regular Thameslink trains running to Blackfriars and Wimbledon.
Tooting manages to attract plenty of first time buyers who find that their money goes further than nearby Clapham and Balham. While the excellent transport links, great schools and green spaces also means many decide to stay in the area even as their families grow.
Nice to meet you
The Homyze Story
Whilst working on projects across London, Adam and Andrew were constantly asked by friends to refer a good plumber or carpenter. As property obsessives, Adam and Andrew were only too happy to help. They know what it is like to get your dream home. Or how annoying it can be if something is just not quite right.
When following up to make sure that they were happy with the work that had been done, Adam and Andrew realised that this was what the home services and construction industries were sorely lacking: quality customer service.
Quality tradespeople and excellent customer service were introduced and they got on fabulously. One thing led to another, and Homyze was born. We're really proud of what Homyze has done so far... she's growing up so fast but this is just the beginning. We know we will change the way in which people think about getting help with their home.
